Prison Ministry

This program teaches transformative behavior in body, mind and spirit with a combination of cognitive learning and the spiritual healing power of knowing God's love. Sessions are conducted in small group format with up to 12 participants at the same time as worship services, but in a separate room or location. Each session is 1½ hours in length.

Spritual Development (8 sessions) focuses on being in community and examining Gospel messages that include ethical decision-making, scripture reading and study.

  • Personal Rule of Life: Development of realistic spiritual disciplines for which you can honestly be held accountable. Includes self-assessment, an explanation of how you will practice your chosen discipline, and a personal form of accountability.
  • Daily devotional: Forward Day by Day with written on-going reflection.
  • Purpose Driven Life: Development of self-esteem, purpose and goals.
  • Letters from the Farm: Finding God's grace even in the weeds.
  • Breathing Under Water: Embrracing spirituality and the Twelve Steps.

Personal/Interpersonal Growth (8 sessions) focuses on becoming a mentally healthy person.

  • Self Empowerment and Self Esteem: Becoming the woman you want to be.
  • Transportation: Getting around town.
  • Mental Health: Maintaining mental and emotional health.

Upon completion of this program participants may apply for reentry assistance.
