Prison Ministry
The mission of St. Peter's Prison Ministry at Perryville Womens'
Prison is to bring the hope and love of Jesus to women who are
incarcerated, and to empower them to inspire others by walking in
Christ's footsteps.
We bring a Saturday morning worship service to Perryville. We are
also sending birthday cards and letters to the women, and collect and
donate yarn for the inmates outreach ministry. The women make baby
blankets for local hospitals and the crisis nursery.
This program teaches transformative behavior in body, mind and
spirit with a combination of cognitive learning and the spiritual
healing power of knowing God's love. Sessions are conducted in small
group format with up to 12 participants at the same time as worship
services, but in a separate room or location. Each session is 1½
hours in length.
