Manipulative Behavior
Fellow employees

may try to manipulate you into doing things not in your
best interest. There are four common ways people try to
manipulate each other:

-- Flattery - You are the only person who can do this.
-- Sympathy - I will fail if you don't help.
-- Guilt - You owe this to me.
-- Intimidation - Help or else you will be punished.

It is ok to go along with a manipulator if doing so is in your best interest.

Do not fall into
the trap of taking on
an assignment that is
not in your best interest.

Be aware of how
manipulators work, know
your own limits and be
assertive about making
a decision that makes
sense for you.
