Accounting: The Career Ladder
You don't have to be an accountant but someone has to manage the money.

 

Certified Public Accountants
pass a rigorous state examination and are qualified to
audit records to establish conformity with accepted standards.

A candidate must have a Baccalaureate Degree, work under
the supervision of a CPA for at least two years and
complete at least 150 credits to be admitted
to the CPA examination.

keep financial records, interpret results and make reports.
Accountants have a baccalaureate degree.

Bookkeepers
keep financial records. Most bookkeeping is now
done via computer. Many bookkeepers learn on-the-job.
