Time to Complete: 3 to 6 months.
Team leader: Chosen by Team Members. Leadership shifts depending on who is best suited to lead the process in progress.

Productivity typically increases and may
exceed pre-team levels .

Role of the team leader:

  1. Coordinate the work load and schedule.
  2. Facilitate consensus decision making.
  3. Encourage eforcement of the team Covenant.


Things to do:

  1. Avoid "Groupthink" as this leads
    to mistakes when members go along
    with less than good ideas to get along
    with their friends.
  2. Members learn all jobs.
  3. Monitor own performance.
  4. Conduct a team performance appraisal.
Training Needed: Teach advanced technical skills and administrative skills as needed to
take over budgeting, goal setting and performance appraisal.
