All work must be
submitted as a
Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint file.
Be careful
if you have Office 2007 or 2010. Some
faculty do not have these programs. It is
safest to "Save" files in
Office 2003.

access.

Canvas Home Page that
describes what will be learned and provides
access to an on-line syllabus.

Old
Ben
always offers a
little advice.
Quizzes:
Low-stakes quizzes
provide you
with a quick way to check how well you
understand. Each can be taken up to four times
and answers are provided. Everyone earns all
possible points on each quiz.
|
G-Mail:
You have an
official G-Mail
account.
It is important to
check it at least twice a day
since that is from where you will receive
official college communication. I recommend
you forward
college Email to
your regular
Email account. Your instructor will respond
within 24 hours except on weekends.
Team work
is emphasized and you
will be
assigned to a team. Use the Group File
Exchange Tool to save your work in your
team's File Exchange Folder so that all team
members have access to what has been
developed. Conduct a Team Assessment after
each team meeting (class).
Be assertive about
managing team conflict. While it is possible to
"fire" a team member that usually creates
more problems than it solves.
Textbook:
Do NOT purchase a
textbook; your
team will produce a
"Desk
Reference"
that
teaches each course competency. It will be
printed and bound in return for the course fee
you paid when you registered for this course.
If you purchased a
textbook immediately return
it to the bookstore for a refund.
In this course your team
will also produce an
academically sound presentation on an aspect
of globalization your team finds
compelling.
Submitting Assignments:
Use Canvas
Email
to attach your documents and e-mail your
work to your instructor for review, comment
and a grade.
Mastery of
Internet-based course
management systems will
make it possible for you to complete
college courses anywhere
in the world where you have a
good high-speed Internet
connection.
